NEUSPEED Air Intake Kit on R32 Golf

The Volkswagen Golf Mk 5 R32 comes with a 3.2 liter 6 cylinder engine that pushes out 250hp and 320Nm of torque. It also comes equipped with the ground-breaking 6 speed DSG gearbox and is quoted by the manufacturer to have a top speed of 248km/h. Acceleration times for 0-100 km/h is 6.4 seconds (factory figures). It also comes with all-wheel drive to aid in traction which is very much needed for a 2 door hatch with a big engine in front!

Our customer purchased the NEUSPEED Air Intake Kit from us and these are the pictures after we did the installation.



Testing after the installation resulted in a sportier induction sound and also smoother acceleration and better power in the mid to higher rev range. Also available for the Volkswagen Golf Mk5 R32 is the UPsolute Chiptuning program which will increase horsepower and torque from the factory figures of 250hp and 320Nm to an average of 270hp and 355Nm. Coupled with a fully optimized exhaust system and an air intake kit you would expect to see figures around 290hp and 380Nm of torque on average easily.
